two more FINISHED quilts.

My two latest completed projects:
The black white and pink was for my sweetest newest niece Annie May! I love the way that it turned out. Mom helped me and Ali even helped me tie it.
The pink brown and white one is one that I finished for one of Ali's friends :)

I really like them both and I know that Nettie loves Annie's quilt. I love making quilts for people that actually appreciate them.

Now I need to get the quilt for the Reunion ready for finishing. :)

weekend..

So this weekend I stayed indoors...did I spring clean? No. But I did have a great weekend. I did laundry, made chocolate chip cookies for breakfast and sewed some new quilt blocks! Will post pics later.

spring time...

Spring time is around the corner and I really need to do some spring cleaning. In all parts of my life. Do you ever feel that way? I need to literally spring clean the house, and clean out the cobwebs of my life. . . . Leave all the old baggage behind and start fresh. Only trouble is that I am not sure where to start to accomplish that. Wish me luck.

I have taken on a new project. A cathedral Windows quilt. It will take forever for me to finish it, but it will be so cool when its done. It may be done once its a wall hanging size ;)

Progress so far. . .
These are some blocks for another quilt that I am working on. I am thinking it may be the one for the family reunion this year. I am sashing it with muslin, so you really just see all the colors and nothing takes away from it. I really like it so far, so we will see if I end up keeping it. . .
We'll see what else this weekend brings.

it's been. . . .forever.

I was going to post pics of all the things that I have been working on. It seems as though some of the things that I have finished and given away I didn't take pics of. Ugh. . .some day I will learn. I do have some pictures though.

Lets see. . . . . . the projects that I worked on since I last posted and all through the holidays. . .
#1- a quilt for one of my favorite exec at the bank. She is an amazing leader, I had every employee in the bank sign or write a message on a quilt block, Then I put it all together and had it machine quilted. It turned out SO cool, and it was a surprise and she LOVES it! That was a very fulfilling project. The signatures are on the purple squares. I didn't want it to be painfully obvious that it was a signature quilt, I wanted her to still want to use it. I hate to say it, but most signature quilts are done with a light colored or white fabric and they are down right ugly! I am pretty proud of this one.

#2- a car seat cover, (no Pic) you know the kind that make a tent over a baby car seat and velcro to the handle. I made one for my new beautiful niece Annie May. Her mom Lynette really liked it. I made it with a scalloped edge, and it was the first one I ever attempted, but I think that it may become my go to gift for baby showers. It was really easy, and every baby needs one, right?
#3-A quilt for miss Annie May that my mom and I are making. Top completed, the finishing is not. . . I love it, I think that it just screams trendy little girl. :)
#4- A snappy little change purse. These are really fun and simple to make and they kind of Snap shut.
#5- A quilt in progress that I am making for a friend of mine that had a baby a few months back . I hope I complete before the baby get too grown up. :)
#6-A purse for a friend of mine that LOVES Disney. I think that she really liked it. I love her.
